The Role
You will handle a wide range of family and matrimonial law matters, managing your own caseload and contributing to departmental growth. This role suits a lawyer looking for flexibility and the opportunity to take a lead in high-quality, client-focused work.
Your caseload will include:
- Divorce and separation
- Financial proceedings (including complex assets, business interests, and pensions)
- Private law children disputes
- Pre- and post-nuptial agreements
- Cohabitation and separation agreements
Additional involvement may include:
- Business development and client relationship management
- Supporting firm-wide marketing initiatives
- Conducting your own advocacy (where appropriate)
- Advising agricultural clients or clients with business interests
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide excellent client service and maintain long-term relationships
- Develop and expand the family law team and service offering
- Manage your own fee-earning targets and contribute to team goals
- Maintain awareness of legal developments and commercial trends in family law
- Work within compliance, risk and financial protocols (e.g., AML, billing, time recording)
Person Specification
Essential:
- Qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive with significant experience in family law
- Proven ability to manage a full family caseload with minimal supervision
- Strong drafting, negotiation, and communication skills
- Understanding of Money Laundering Regulations and Solicitors’ Accounts Rules
- Confident with case management systems and Microsoft Office
Desirable:
- Experience with clients in agriculture or those with business interests
- Mediation/collaborative law experience
- Public speaking and/or seminar delivery experience
- Previous involvement in marketing or networking events
- Experience conducting own advocacy in family courts

- Location: Flexible across offices in Lincolnshire and the Midlands
- Hours: Monday – Friday, 9:00am – 5:15pm (36.25 hours/week)
- Salary: Competitive, based on experience and qualifications
