Employment Solicitor / Legal Executive – Flexible Location

The Role:
This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious individual with a passion for employment law to make a real impact. The role is flexible on location, allowing you to be based at any of the firm’s regional offices.
You’ll be handling a broad range of contentious and non-contentious employment matters and playing a key role in business development. The position offers excellent scope for growth, autonomy, and client interaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Advise employers and employees on a range of employment law matters including:
- Unfair dismissal
- Discrimination
- TUPE
- Restructuring and redundancies
- Settlement agreements
- Contracts, policies, and procedures
- Represent clients in Employment Tribunal matters, including full case preparation and advocacy where appropriate.
- Support corporate teams on employment-related aspects of transactions.
- Develop and manage a growing client base through business development and networking.
- Prepare and deliver seminars, draft legal articles, and contribute to social media to enhance team visibility.
- Ensure high levels of client service and maintain compliance with all risk and quality control procedures.
Person Specification:
Essential:
- Qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive with demonstrable employment law experience.
- Strong communication, drafting, and negotiation skills.
- Commercial awareness and client-focused approach.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and confident in business development.
- Experience of both contentious and non-contentious employment work.
Desirable:
- Tribunal advocacy experience.
- Experience working across both SME and corporate client bases.
- Interest in delivering training and presenting to external audiences.
Additional Information:
- Hours: Monday – Friday, 09:00 – 17:15 (36.25 hours/week)
- Location: Flexible – can be based at any of our 8 offices across the Midlands and Lincolnshire
