The Role

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a confident, proactive, and ambitious Property Lawyer to specialise in Development work. You’ll work closely with highly experienced Partners, supporting a portfolio of national house builders and developer clients.

You will handle a broad and varied caseload, including but not limited to:

  • Title investigation and due diligence, including complex site set-ups
  • Drafting and advising on conditional contracts, option agreements, promotion and overage agreements
  • Supporting the Specialist New Build Team with management schemes and plot sales documentation
  • Disposals of land, affordable housing, and freehold reservations
  • Acting on behalf of landowners making disposals
  • Preparing development-related documents such as easements, infrastructure agreements, planning agreements, and licences

You’ll also work with the firm’s marketing team to promote and enhance the team’s profile as this area of law continues to grow.


Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver ongoing services to existing clients
  • Collaborate with Partners and Fee Earners on business development initiatives
  • Support and develop the property team, maximising cross-referrals across departments
  • Achieve fee income targets and maintain high standards of legal work
  • Stay informed of legal developments and regulatory changes
  • Ensure strong financial control, including billing and cash flow
  • Maintain accurate time records and follow internal quality/risk procedures

What We’re Looking For

Genuine passion for Commercial Property with a focus on Residential DevelopmentExperience in development or commercial property work
Legal qualification or demonstrable equivalent experienceFamiliarity with Visual Files or SOS Connect case management systems
