A highly regarded international law firm is seeking an associate with two to five years of transactional/contract experience involving construction projects to join its Denver-based Construction and Design Practice Group. The role covers a wide range of project types, including industrial, energy (wind, solar, hydro, natural gas), renewable, residential, commercial, mining, manufacturing, and large-scale infrastructure projects.
You will be involved in drafting and negotiating contracts such as:
- EPC/BOP agreements
- Cost-plus and fixed-price contracts
- Construction management agreements
- Professional services agreements (engineering, architectural, etc.)
- Subcontractor and supply agreements
- Other commercial contracts related to construction projects
The work also includes handling disputes for projects such as:
- Energy facilities (wind, solar, hydro, natural gas)
- Industrial, agricultural, and food processing facilities
- Mining and natural resource projects
- Athletic stadiums and large venues
- Fulfilment centres and warehouses
- Manufacturing and R&D facilities
- General commercial construction
Requirements:
- JD from an ABA-accredited law school
- 2–5 years of relevant transactional/contract experience in construction
- Colorado Bar admission (or eligibility to obtain)
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Excellent writing and communication skills
- Strong academic credentials
Salary & Benefits:
- Salary range (Denver applicants only): $210,000 – $265,000, depending on experience
