The Role
The firm is seeking a 3–4 PQE Associate to join its Transactional Tax team. This role is ideal for lawyers with solid experience in transactional tax who want to work on sophisticated cross-border matters.
This is not a pure structuring role — you will handle drafting, negotiating, and advising directly on transaction documents, as well as providing strategic tax advice.
Key Responsibilities
Your work will include:
Transactional Tax Advisory
- Advising on tax aspects of private M&A, including structuring and negotiation for financial sponsors, corporates, management teams and lenders
- Providing tax advice to corporate clients on a range of commercial matters
- Advising on financing transactions, real estate deals, restructurings and management equity arrangements
Capital Markets & Fundraising
- Providing tax input on IPOs, fundraisings, and capital markets transactions
Cross-Practice Collaboration
- Working alongside asset management, incentives & remuneration sub-groups on combined matters
- Opportunities to undertake work across different tax sub-groups if desired
- Potential for client and overseas secondments

About You: Experience, Skills & Attributes
Essential
- England & Wales qualified solicitor with 3–4 years’ PQE
- Strong background in transactional tax work
- Experience advising on M&A tax or related transactional matters
- Excellent drafting, analytical and communication skills
- Ability to manage transactions and work proactively
- Strong academic record
