Associates work across sub-practices and in collaboration with other teams, regularly advising private equity sponsors, banks, credit funds, and corporate borrowers on a variety of financing transactions.
This is a firm that places high value on associate learning and development, with all associates receiving 1-1 business development coaching from an embedded BD Manager, in addition to firmwide training and partner-led opportunities.The Role
We are recruiting two NQ–1PQE Associates (September 2024 – September 2025) to join the Finance practice.
Working closely with partners across the practice, you will play a key role in structuring, negotiating, and documenting a wide range of financing transactions. This role blends technical legal expertise with transaction management and strong client relationship skills.Key Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and negotiate financing documents (term sheets, facility agreements, security documents, intercreditor agreements).
- Support both borrower and lender-side transactions.
- Supervise and delegate to trainees and paralegals, ensuring work is completed to a high standard.
- Collaborate with colleagues across the firm to deliver seamless client service.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring confidentiality and trust.
- Participate in business development, including client events and industry networking.
Personal Specification
- Qualified Solicitor in a common law jurisdiction.
- Outstanding academic record.
- Experience at a top-tier law firm in at least one of the sub-practices.
- Strong drafting skills and commercial awareness.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Detail-oriented, inquisitive, and proactive.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Strong time management skills and commitment to firm culture.
