We are working in partnership with a leading international law firm to appoint an experienced Corporate Associate or Managing Associate to join their high-performing Aberdeen team. This is an excellent opportunity to join an award-winning Corporate practice recognised as Tier 1/Band 1 in Legal 500 and Chambers, with exceptional exposure to high-value transactions across the energy, technology, life sciences and private equity sectors.

The Opportunity
You will handle a mix of transactional and advisory work, running your own matters with appropriate support while also working alongside senior lawyers on complex, multi-jurisdictional deals. This is a genuinely collaborative, busy and well-resourced team offering outstanding career development and progression.

You’ll be working closely with Aberdeen Partners who specialise in energy-sector transactions, while also benefiting from the wider Scottish Corporate team led by highly reputable partners operating across technology, fintech and capital markets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drafting, reviewing and negotiating corporate transaction documents
  • Supporting senior lawyers with deal management from instruction through to completion
  • Coordinating multi-jurisdictional matters
  • Managing physical and virtual closings
  • Maintaining client relationships and supporting ongoing legal needs
  • Contributing to the growth of the Corporate practice through business development and client initiatives

About You
We’re looking to speak with Corporate Lawyers ideally between 2–8 years’ PQE who can demonstrate:

  • Strong technical ability within corporate transactions (M&A, PE, capital markets or related areas)
  • A commitment to excellent client care and commercial, solutions-focused advice
  • Motivation to develop professionally within a high-calibre, international team
  • The confidence to take ownership of matters and build trusted client relationships
  • An interest in contributing to business development and wider firm initiatives
  • A proactive, detail-focused and commercially minded approach
