Lynx Employment Services is partnering with a highly regarded, Tier 1-ranked national law firm to recruit an experienced Commercial Lawyer with a strong background in technology, outsourcing, and IT projects. The Role
You will work directly with FTSE 100 organisations, national retailers, energy and utilities providers, and industrial and manufacturing clients. The work spans medium to large-scale commercial and technology mandates, including digitalisation programmes, cloud and SaaS arrangements, and multi-faceted outsourcing projects. You will also help support the development of junior lawyers and the wider commercial technology offering.
Key Responsibilities
- Leading and supporting technology, outsourcing and commercial contract matters
- Advising on IT outsourcing, BPO, cloud/SaaS contracts, licensing and digital transformation deals
- Acting as lead adviser or part of a wider national team on complex transactions
- Negotiating directly with clients and suppliers, and managing long-term stakeholder relationships
- Supervising junior colleagues and contributing to internal knowledge development
- Supporting business development, thought leadership and wider client engagement initiatives
About You
We are seeking a lawyer with a minimum of 4 years’ PQE and strong experience in commercial and technology law. The ideal candidate will demonstrate:
- Hands-on experience advising on IT outsourcing, SaaS/cloud, software licensing or technology infrastructure agreements
- Confidence leading transactions and managing client relationships
- Strong commercial judgement, with the ability to deliver practical, solutions-focused advice
- Ability to manage multiple workstreams in a fast-paced environment
- Motivation to progress within a growing national team
Desirable
- Experience in sectors such as retail, energy/utilities, industrial manufacturing or digital health
- Understanding of regulatory frameworks impacting technology contracting (outsourcing rules, operational resilience, cloud guidance, data protection)
- Experience gained from in-house roles or secondments
