Potential Permanent Opportunity
We are recruiting for an experienced Employment Lawyer to join a busy legal team on a full-time, fully remote basis.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced employment law professional looking for a well-paid interim assignment, with the potential for the position to become permanent for the right person.
The Role
You will provide professional legal advice and support across a range of employment law matters, working closely with HR professionals, managers and other stakeholders.
Responsibilities are likely to include:
- Providing clear and practical advice on employment law matters
- Managing a varied employment law caseload
- Advising on disciplinary, grievance, capability and absence matters
- Supporting organisational change, restructures and redundancy processes
- Advising on TUPE and contractual matters where required
- Managing Employment Tribunal matters and preparing associated documentation
- Drafting and reviewing employment-related agreements, policies and correspondence
- Providing advice on settlement agreements and employment disputes
- Working closely with HR and senior managers on complex or sensitive cases
- Keeping up to date with changes in employment legislation and case law
About You
We are looking for someone who:
- Has substantial experience working in employment law
- Is confident managing their own caseload with minimal supervision
- Has strong knowledge of current UK employment legislation
- Can provide practical and commercially aware legal advice
- Has excellent drafting, negotiation and communication skills
- Is comfortable working independently in a fully remote environment
- Can build effective working relationships with HR teams, managers and other stakeholders
Previous public sector or local authority employment law experience would be particularly advantageous.

Rate: £55 per hour
Hours: 37 hours per week
Working pattern: Fully remote
Start date: 14 September 2026
End date: 15 January 2027
Contract: Temporary, with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate
