The Opportunity

A leading international law firm is seeking an experienced Real Estate Lawyer (5+ PQE) to join its market-leading Real Estate practice as a Managing Associate in London.

The team advises funders, investors, developers and occupiers on some of the most significant real estate projects across the UK, delivering complex development, investment and funding transactions across a wide range of sectors.

This role offers the opportunity to manage your own matters while also working alongside partners on major, high-value commercial property transactions. You will also play a key role in mentoring junior lawyers and contributing to the continued growth of the practice.

The Team

The Real Estate division is one of the firm’s largest practice groups, comprising more than 300 lawyers across the UK.

The London team advises leading property companies, institutional investors and developers on complex transactions across the real estate sector.

Clients include major UK and international investors, developers and occupiers involved in high-profile property investment and development projects.

The team combines strong transactional expertise with a commercial approach, using advanced legal technology platforms to deliver efficient and innovative solutions for clients.

Key Responsibilities

You will work on a broad range of commercial real estate matters, including:

Advising on property investment, development and asset management transactions
Supporting real estate finance and funding arrangements
Managing large-scale real estate projects and transactions
Drafting and negotiating commercial property agreements
Working closely with clients including investors, developers and occupiers
Managing your own caseload while supporting partners on high-value transactions
Supervising and mentoring junior lawyers and trainees
Contributing to business development and client relationship management

Candidate Requirements

Essential

Qualified solicitor with 5+ years PQE
Strong experience in commercial real estate or property law
Experience advising on investment, development and asset management transactions
Ability to manage matters independently while collaborating with senior lawyers
Strong stakeholder management and client advisory skills

Desirable

Experience working with institutional investors, developers or real estate funds
Exposure to real estate finance transactions
Interest in business development and client relationship growth
