Lynx Employment Services is working with a leading international law firm to recruit a Senior Associate for their specialist Employee Incentives team. This is an excellent opportunity to join a dedicated group of experts advising a broad range of national and multinational clients on all aspects of remuneration, share schemes, incentives and executive reward.

The Team
The Employee Incentives team advises on the design, implementation and operation of incentive plans and remuneration structures, including the tax, regulatory and governance aspects. They support a wide client base ranging from owner-managed businesses to large listed companies, and work closely with corporate teams on transactions including M&A, private equity deals, flotations and restructures.

This role sits within a collaborative national team working seamlessly across the firm’s London, Manchester, Leeds and Scottish offices. You will report into the Partner heading the practice and work closely with senior lawyers across the Corporate Tax and Incentives teams.

What to Expect in the Role

  • A varied workload including transactional support and standalone advisory work
  • Advising on the design and implementation of tax-advantaged and non-tax-advantaged share schemes (EMI, CSOP, LTIP, growth shares, JSOP)
  • Advising on tax and corporate aspects of employee incentive arrangements
  • Drafting employee communications and providing regulatory and governance advice
  • Acting on public and private M&A transactions
  • Managing your own matters, with appropriate partner support
  • Working alongside partners and senior lawyers on complex mandates
  • Playing an active role in team and client development initiatives
  • Office presence required at least three days per week

Clients for advisory work include major corporates such as Entain, ABF and Rathbone Brothers.

Your Background and Key Requirements

  • Qualified lawyer with a minimum of 5 years PQE
  • Experience gained in a law firm and/or accountancy practice
  • Strong background advising on employee share schemes and incentives
  • Experience across both public and private company work
  • Ability to provide clear, practical, commercially grounded advice
  • Interest in mentoring junior colleagues and supporting team development
  • Keen to help raise the profile of the Employee Incentives team internally and externally
