Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Associate (3+ PQE) or Senior Associate to join a dynamic and growing Leveraged Finance team in London. The team is highly active in the mid-market space, advising on a wide range of complex debt financing transactions for both lender and private equity sponsor clients.
This position offers exposure to high-quality, market-leading work and the opportunity to collaborate with an experienced and well-regarded team that is consistently recognised for its expertise in the leveraged finance market.
The Role
You will advise on a variety of transactions, with a particular focus on leveraged and acquisition finance, acting for banks, private credit funds, sponsors, and portfolio companies. The work includes senior debt facilities, second lien, unitranche, TLB, first out/last out, and super senior structures.

Example Transactions Include:
- Acting for lenders on MBO financings backed by major private equity sponsors
- Advising credit funds on unitranche and second lien facilities for acquisition deals
- Supporting portfolio companies and sponsors on complex multi-layered financing structures
Requirements
- Qualified Solicitor with at least 3 years’ PQE in leveraged or acquisition finance
- Strong experience acting on private equity-backed transactions in the UK and/or Europe
- Proven ability to manage complex transactions, including facility agreements, term sheets, and intercreditor arrangements
- Commercial mindset with strong client relationship and business development skills
- Team-oriented with excellent communication and attention to detail
